“Vogue: Like a Painting” exhibition at Thyssen Museum, Madrid
I guess you already noticed that I keep all of my promises, so as a little preview to my next
post, this month topic will be Inspiration.
I decided to dedicate the last days of this month to our Muse, this well-known feeling when
suddenly something inside of you awakes and inspires you with new idea.
It can be triggered by a smile, photo, fashion, beautiful women
and many other daily things.
(I will expand more about it in our blog, meanwhile I’m just teasing you).
Last week I had the chance to attend few impressive exhibitions in
Madrid and one of them really stood out, it was VOGUE photo shooting display.
I must say that it’s been a while since I saw so many breath taking
and magnificent images that left me speechless.
All of the images were uploaded to our Facebook page:

Few words about the VOGUE magazine, it’s a fashion and life style magazine with big
influent on the fashion world.
The magazine is printed since 1892 in USA and in 2013 he was distributed
in over of million copies around the world.
The great photos I choose to show you are made by those talented photographers:
Camilla Akrans, Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, Cecil Beaton, Erwin Blumenfeld, Clifford Coffin, Grant Cornett, Patrick Demarchelier, Horst P. Horst, Steven Klein, William Klein, Nick Knight, Annie Leibovitz, Peter Lindbergh, Glen Luchford, Sheila Metzner, Erwin Olaf, Irving Penn, Paolo Roversi, David Sims, Edward Steichen, Mario Testino, Michael Thompson, Deborah Turbeville, Mariano Vivanco, Tim Walker and Yelena Yemchuk.
In my opinion, the most exciting fact about those photos is
that some of them are still relevant to our days.
This exhibition deals with the gentle difference between
painting and a photo, using one of the most inspiring muse, WOMEN.
I hope that you will enjoy those photos and maybe some of them
will inspire you the way they inspired me.
I will be glad to answer your questions at: studiordd@gmail.com
Have a great week everybody!
Sincerely yours, Ilana, Studio RDD
